The position of President of the United States may be fulfilled by persons of any race, color or creed, under law. There is no legal requirement that demands a specific religion or ANY religion at all for that matter, for any candidate. So far, we've only had Christian presidents because that's the way we vote. In fact, we've only had one Catholic in the presidential office so far. But the reasons for that are not based in a prohibitive law; once more, it's the way the popular vote went.
I should add that this isn't uncommon. While the US has no State Religion, that doesn't mean the majority of citizens don't have a preference; they do, and most Americans are Christians of one flavor of another. That said, Americans are probably not ready to adapt well to a person whose religions differs greatly from the religion they're used to. However, in local elections throughout the US the voters have elected people from different religions and hopefully this will eventually trickle up to national politics and give Americans a broader perspective.
I also believe it isn't true that nearly all of our presidents were Christians. Some were Catholic, some were atheist (I believe obama is) and some were Masons-which is not the Christian religion. So, although many claimed to be Christians, there were still many who weren't, and the job is open to any religion anyway.
Theoretically, no; but the politics of the United States de facto has made it important to be Christian.
No; although religious beliefs are popular amongst voters so it seems that realistically one has a better chance of winning if one is religious.
No. You don't have to.
No. There is not religious requirement for the US President. Although none of the US presidents openly opposed Christianity, several of them did not belong to any church or indicate that they were active Christian believers.
No. You have to be born in the United States to become President.
He can if he lived in the mainland of the United States.
How did John Admas our second president of the united states become president .
The president of the United States would remain president until he died or resigned or was impeached; at which time the Vice President would become president.
Vice President
No, Bill Clinton can't become the Vice President of the United States. Why not? I know he can't be President but why not VP? Thank you

I think you mean, "how many years must you be a resident of the United States in order to become president?". You must be a natural born citizen of the United States in order to become President of the United States. Foreign-born persons may be elected to public office, but may not become president. Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Bavaria, Germany, but has become the Governor of the state of California in the United States. He became a citizen of the United States, but because he was foreig-born, he may never become president.
the president of the united states
He didn't. He is the 44th President of the United States.
