I believe that if you use mono-torque gaskets you do not need to re-torque ( hence the name) mono meaning one.The issue with white "smoke" is not oil but coolant as oil will be blueish it could also be just condensation (water in the exhaust) that will happen in colder climates, also if the engine produced white smoke from coolant before and after the head gasket replacement you may have a cracked head.
you always have to torque a new head gasket. if you don't they won't seal. a head gasket is what some people call a crush gasket. they have metal seals, usually aluminum or copper, that is crushed when you torque them. when the metal is crushed it fills in any small imperfections there are from when they were made. they also can't be re-used. if you take the head off get a new gasket and torque it.
if your head gasket leaks it will let antifreeze into the cylinder. when the cylinder fires it burns the antifreeze and makes white smoke.
Oil is leaking and burning off due to a gasket failure. Replace it or you're in for a world of costly repairs
Sounds like you have a blown head gasket. White smoke is coolant burning. Have to remove the head, have a valve job done, and replace with new head gasket. They will clean and check the head for any damage also.
oil is getting to the spark plug. Check head gasket, head torque, or it could the piston rings not aligned/ worn.
White smoke coming from the exhaust is a sign of a bad head gasket. There are some products that you can try for a blown head gasket but they are only good for small leaks. You will probably have to remove the head and replace the head gasket.
changed engine
No there's nothing you can put it to stop it what you need to do is repair it. The white smoke from your exhaust is caused by a blown head gasket. You must replace the head gasket. Stop driving this car until this is repaired or you will destroy the engine.
Depends on the color of the smoke. White Smoke indicates a Blown Head Gasket and needs service immediately. Blue or Black Smoke indicates that you need to replace the rings. Basically to rework the head of the engine.
Engine overheating, white smoke from the tailpipe, coolant in the oil, air bubbling from radiator with cap off engine cold and running. A compression test will verify if indeed the gasket is blown.
Blue smoke means it's burning oil. Black smoke means it's burning rich (fuel). White smoke is usually caused by water which may indicate a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head. Check the compression on your cylinders. If compression is low, you will have to remove the cylinder head to replace either the blown gasket or the cylinder head.
white smoke is water. head gasket or ?
If the vehicle does not have any bad head gasket symptoms like fluid loss or cooling system pressure build up or white smoke out the tailpipe then the head gasket does not ever need to be replaced.
If you are getting exhaust smoke coming out of the radiator overflow, you need to replace the head gasket that seals the cylinder from the cylinder cap where your coolant runs through to cool the engine.
