1979 267 / 350 engine ! Danny Coleman
You need a cherry picker with a leveler bar to be able to take the engine and tranny out in one piece.
If it's a real old engine ( 1979 or older ) they do because the valve seats are soft not harden, and todays fuel will take the valve seats out of the heads. If you are going to use old heads with todays gas they will have to have hardened seats put in the heads.
It's between the engine and transmission. The only way to disconnect it from the crankshaft is to remove either the engine or transmission... or both.
no you cannot they are not interchangeable the 89 heads are fuel injected heads and the 79 are carb heads and will not interchange
Yes they will, But you will have to drill the 4 center bolt holes out in the 88 intake to make it bolt up to the 305 heads. I don't no why anyone would want to put 305 heads on a 350 engine, The 350 will never run like it did before.
