make sure you line up the marks on the crank and cam and you should be fine
Don't waste your time pulling the crank sprocket, get a large cold chisel and smack that baby one good time. The sprocket will split in half as its a lot softer material than the crank.
looking for some easy tips on changing the primary timing chain tentioner on my dodge 4.7
Check all belts and anything that was removed while changing the timing belt, to make sure that nothing was damaged. If everything is ok, then the timing belt may be loose.
ford doesnt put timing marks on anything. u need a special cam gear alignment tool
It should bethe same as a 1997 and there will be no way to adjust the timing as it is an electronic ignition. If you are changing the timing belt and looking for the top dead center marks (TDC) That is a different matter...
I need diagram on changing the timing chain

Your timing chain may be worn to the point it is jumping a tooth and thus changing the timing. If you can hear the chain that is a good sign it is worn. I would inspect the timing chain.

If you only took of the parts you needed to to get at the water pump then no. When replacing the water pump you do not need to get far enough into the engine to do anything with the timing.
No, timing chain doesn't need replacing.
