No, do not file a guinea pig's teeth with a nail file. The best solution to wear out a guinea pig's teeth from getting too long is to provide your guinea pig with a kind of chew toy, specially made for guinea pigs.

Alternatively, you can provide your Guinea Pigs with food they naturally encounter (tough grass and small branches of wood) while limiting their supply of soft foods such as fruit and salads. The animals are evolved to cope naturally without filing their teeth or specially made supplies from a pet store, and will be fine in captivity so long as they are fed a close to natural diet.

i used it before on my guinea pig and on some of the nails the clippers wernt big enough and the ones i could cut started bleeding so the answer would be no
