Do you need to undo the screws at tha base of the alternator fuse to take it out of the relay box of a 97 Hyundai Accent?

hi, yes you will have to take out both of the two screws that hold the fuse in place. then put in the new fuse(should be a 100 amp fuse) and put in both screws. the fuse it self is pretty cheap to replace. i live in WI and it cost about $6 when i put a new alternator fuse in my '96 accent. hopefully this was helpful for you.

But relay can be accessed without removal of plate. Relay should be black. It's fastened with I think a 3/8" hex head screw.
