∙ 13y agoThe two times that I broke my metatarsal bone and I didn't need a cast, I had a bandage over once. The time when I had the bandage on was when I was also walking on crutches. I think it's a choice of comfort, but if you really aren't sure, talk to your doctor or their nurse for advice.
