Under one condition: their eyes , mouth , nose , and ears have to be above water and you have to let its feet touch the bottom. I have a male Russian dwarf hamster (M.C. Hamster) and he loves to swim. GOOD LUCK!
Actually i was wrong! Don't put your hamsters in the water. They can get hypothermia and get extremely cold. Buy them "Sand Baths". They bathe themselves from this. (Sand baths are literally powdery like sand.. )
Warm as most originate from deserts or hot countries! xxx
Hamsters should drink water rather than milk.
Never put your hamster in water! If you're talking about drinking water it may prefer warm or cold.
yes, they do
My hamster almost died from being cold.
Assuming the hamster genuinely needs a bath (they would not need one under normal circumstances) warm water will do.
You do not want to put your hamster in water, it could drown. To give a hamster a ''bath'' you can use a barely damp wash cloth and stroke it down it's body.
Hampsters do not need to take baths. I wouldn't if I were you.
You should NEVER give your hamster a bath. They clean themselves. If your noticing odor buy some chinchilla bath powder and just let your hamster be in it. But you never give a hamster a normal bath!
no. My friend's cousin tried it and their hamster died.
You shouldn't give a hamster a bath it can give it a chill and die.Unless your hamster is really dirty. So please be careful.Use non tear shampoo if nessary.
dont give your gerbil a 'water' bath use chinchilla dust
you can.... but it is not good for them. your hamster will hate it. they are self clean animals.
They should have a water bottle available at all times.
you do not give a hamster a bath it will get a disease like wet tail and will surely die. A hamster shall not take a bath. it will really hurt the hamster and sooner die.
No, hamsters don't like getting wet. And you shouldn't give your hamster a bath in the first place, it can get pneumonia.
If your hamster has a sticky bottom you can either use a wet paper towel and gently rub it, or you can give him a bath using rodent shampoo and warm but NOT HOT water. Always remember to be gentle with your hamster.
Yes you can give most hamsters baths, but there are a few very important rules. . Make sure the water is not to warm and not to cold. . don't fill up the sink (or what ever thing your giving your hamster a bath in) to high. . If your hamster can not swim (usually hamsters will swim) then take them out of the bath imidietly because it might drown.
