Full Sail University has many pros and cons. The Recording Arts program will teach you how to use many industry standard programs and pieces of equipment, and most of the professors have significant industry experience and connections. However, you may have to study some classes that are only tangentially related to Recording Arts (since the Show Production students take the same classes for the first 12 months).
The two year program is considered accelerated, since similar bachelor's programs take four years. This means that you will graduate sooner than students at other universities, but it may also be too fast-paced for some students.
With a degree in recording arts, you can get many different jobs involving recording arts, including working in recording studios as sound engineers, mixers, as well as editors.
