Sure, but if it has tri/TT bars you probably will have to pull them off to be allowed into an organized event. Expect to be losing some due to the fairly extreme riding position an all out TT bike will put you in. For ordinary road(group) racing most riders prefers a bike that's a bit more flexible in terms of use.
A bike to use in a triathlon would be either a mountain bike or a ten speed street bike depending on the riding, do not use a bmx bike or you will be sorry.
Well, you can, but it would be real inefficient. Trials bikes haven't got the gearing or the ride position to make them efficient for road riding.
Depends on how you want to ride.
But a road bike is a little more versatile and usually a better option unless you plan to do either Triathlon or Time Trial racing.
Yes, you can for sure ride it everyday and not have to worry about your posture. Riding a bike is good exercise.
A good bike to use in a time trial road race would have to be a time trial bike. It is a racing bike that is designed for use in a individual race. They do have racing bikes also.
The triathlon consisted of running, swimming, and biking.
You need basic swim, bike and run equipment to prepare for a triathlon. Especially if you are a beginner and not on a competitive level. You should start with the most basic equipment. For the swim you need a pair of goggles, swim suit, and or wetsuit. You can use any bike, but try using a bike that suits the distance you will be traveling. A good pair of running shoes for the run and comfortable athletic wear.
I am scheduled to participate in a triathlon this weekend.
No we can't use 100cc 4 -stroke dirt bike race against 85cc dirt bikes.
You use chemical energy.
A triathlon (swim + bike + run), may take less than an hour to complete or up to 17 hours to complete, depending on the event type. As such, bathroom breaks are often a requirement. For shorter events, competitive racers may attempt to "hold-it-in"; making sure to visit the bathroom facilities prior to the event start (often Porta-potty or porta-johns that are provided in and around the main transition area). For longer events, porta-johns may be available along the race course (bike route and running route) and again in the transition areas. Triathlon events may take competitors outside of urban centres; therefore providing various natural areas for releif (trees, bushes and shrubs off the route). It is not unheard of for racers, in an attempt to save the most amount of time, to relieve themselves, in-situ, (either while on the bike, or while running). This may not necessarily be condoned by all event directors, sanctioning bodies or hosting communities.
The best option to find information is to go to the local store with triathlon wetsuits. Another good option is to use the internet to find more information about triathlon wetsuits.
The most durable brand of wetsuit for use in a triathlon is either Blue Seventy, or Neosport. Most triathlon swimmers use these brands as they are cut at the calf for flexibility, have sealed seams, and use a special material to help you swim with less resistance. You can find these brands at wetsuitwearhouse.com
