In your diary you can write personal feelings that you don't want share withh anyone.You can also write things that may have really hurt you or the opposite.And if you want to you can write about a journey or a dream that you had or that you would like to make it realize.

∙ 14y agoThis is an assignment I gave often to my history classes and your teacher is looking to see how much you know about the time you are studying. Since it is a diary you will write it in the present tense as if you are living in the time. Remember that you can't add modern things if it is in the 1800's or earlier. There were no cars, phones, TV, computers or other things.

actually it can be in all three tenses. it can be in the future if you want it to be. to say what you want to do tomorow, or in a year

∙ 9y agoEither one, depending on your story. If you are writing something like a fictional diary, you might use both, ex. "This morning, I barely escaped the King's police force! At the moment, I'm resting in an alley. Oh, no! Can't write any longer, I can hear them coming!" Or your character could be recounting an adventure, so you'd write in past tense. If it's third person, it might be easier to write in past tense.
