I was looking at the 1998 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide and there is an
auxilary power outlet located on the instrument panel ( unfortunately it
doesn't have a drawing showing exactly where on the instrument panel )
In a 1998 Lincoln Town Car : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment : Mini fuse ( # 24 ) is a 20 amp fuse for the auxiliary power outlet
It does not have that option in the stock radio
how do I get to the plug at the back of the power outlet/ ash tray 99 sable
The 12V auxiliary power outlet used to be called a cigarette lighter with a covering device that could get hot enough to light a cigarette. Since smoking is no longer popular, the lighter was replaced with a plastic cover and it was renamed a "12V auxiliary power outlet".You can plug 12v devices into it for power such as search lights phone chargers etc
There are separate fuses for both the front and rear auxiliary power points. Check the fuse box to see if the fuse is blown out.
auxiliary fuse where is it located in 2005 explorer+
just above gear shift on passenger side
Check out the fuse block under the hood near the battery. You need to remove the plastic cover, which has a diagram of the fuses below.
The 1998 Honda Civic models were not available with auxiliary outputs. The cigarette lighter was used power outlet in those vehicles. To replace the outlet press down the side prongs so the assembly can come off. Then unplug the wires. Replace by plugging in the wires and sliding in the new lighter assembly.
Check fuses If you are getting power to socket, but not through it ,replace socket
On a 1998 Ford Mustang : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment near the battery ( maxi fuse # 9 is a 20 amp fuse for the auxiliary power point ) * check to see if the fuse has " blown "
