Does Costa Rica recognize a prenuptial made in a marriage between a Costa Rican and a U.S. citizen?

absolutely.

Costa Rica makes no distinction between the nationalities of parties who are entering into a legally binding agreement. for further protection that prenuptial should be signed and entered to in Costa Rica. For further protection each party should be represented by counsel and should state that they relied on the advice of counsel before signing it (to help avoid either party from claiming ignorance at a later time).
