no, aim stands for AOL INSTANT MESSAGING which is an "im" or instant messaging where you can send messages instantly and chat with people online so basically no aim is not an email account. However if you are looking for good site for email i would definatley recommend gmail email from Google. hope i could help! THIS IS NOT ACCURATE login to mail.aim.com with your aim account, aim has been an email AND im source for at least a decade. if your aim address is testuser (at) aim, then your username is testuser@aim.com -- login with that, aol emails probably also work

Don't listen to the person who answered below me☟there answer is incorrect. It was a version of AIM (AOL's instant messenger). If you pause it at the part where they show when Massie is instant messaging Kristen it says Aol desktop.i chat, you have to have MAC or APPLE computers to use it though.

Well, there are a lot of options. If you want a IM and an e-mail, then i suggest AOL. There is a kids version called aim. It is very easy and kid friendly! just go to www.kol.com to check it out. And, Gmail. It also has IM but has lots of fun things to do. Good Luck!

Same thing,IM is just an abbreviation for Instant Message. There are many services for sending IM's and AIM is one of them. But if you don't trust AIM, and are looking for a safer IM service, i would recommend Yahoo! Messenger.

You can IM on AOL and msn. Yahoo also. Or you can get Google chat. But I would likely prefer AOL because its easier and a lot more fun. Check it out and see if you like it. That's probably the most populated IM service. But, its still fun!
