However, I do know that Canadian Thanksgiving does not celebrate the harvest festival in Plymouth rather they celebrate a harvest festival in Newfoundland. Also since the the holiday stems from the traditions of harvest festivals being a more northern country leads to an earlier final harvest and thus an earlier Thanksgiving.
