There are a handful of Marines and liaison troops in support to U.S. Embassy and consulate operations in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as search teams from Hawaii researching crash sites and other possible burial sites of American troops who travel in and out of Vietnam and neighboring countries regularly.

Vietnam today does have a conscription (draft) with an army, a navy, and an air force. Military crews are most often seen working on bridge building and road improvement projects throughout the country.

Better not! Vietnam's a communist country now, ever since '75; any US Military presence in or around Vietnam today, could cause another war.
