First generation Integra's have D16A1 motors
Second generation had B16's B17's and B18's all of which had vtec besides the B18B, and the B18A motor.
Third Generation Integra's all had B18 motors, but had many different versions, the B18B1 was the stock RS, GS, and LS motor, the B18C1 Was standard in the GS-R models, the B18CR was standard in the 96-97 Type R models, and the B18C5 was standard in 98-2001 end of productions models.
yes...as long as it is b series it will fit onto any b series example- b18 tranny will be compatible with a b16 motor.......LS is b18....
1.8 liter B18B1 142hp
The motor that comes in an integra ls is made by Honda it is a B18B1 this motor is a 1.8L in line 4 cylinder hope this helps
What engine is in the integra? Is it a B18? Is so the aswer is no unfortunately for you. b18 rods will work in a d16 block and crank. the rods of the same length as d series rods but you will have to notch the bottom of the sleave and have to use a bushing to make the b18 ls rod to work on a d series piston. So the answer is yes
No.
ya for sure, any B18 engine can fit in an integra. I don't know why you would want to swap in a slower engine tho... The GSR engine is a B18c which comes with VTEC pulling out about 178 hp @ 7600 rpm and a GS/LS/RS usually come with a B18b Non VTEC pulling out about 142 hp @ 6300 rpm.
Gsr comes stock with Alloy rims,Leather,Sun/moon roof, power everything, and a b18c motor w/vtec an integra ls comes stock with a non-vtec b18b or b18A depending on the year integra ls you are talking about vtec=more power to gain this on a stock b18 you can convert to an lsvtec engine by putting a gsr(b18c) head on your b18b block (a b16a head would offer the same effect) some monor tweaks like new water pump (gsr or type r) and an ecu that is geared for vtec would be needed.
a vtec head, and a vtec enabled computer
The sale price for the ls b18 ranges drastically, some of the variables are: Mileage, Location(where you live), Motor Condition, and if you are selling the whole thing(block, head, tranny, ECU, axles and so forth.... You have one thing working FOR you and one thing working AGAINST you..... FOR YOU: The LS/VTEC connversion swap is becoming increasingly popular... (putting a vtec head on the LS block and wiring it for vtec) AGAINST YOU: The LS is the easiest to find of all integra motors, so is the LS tranny.... So if there is not a lot of LS in your area and sold it locally you should take no less than 1100.00 for the engine as a swap, your head will not sell for much, you can get about 500-700 for the block depending on location and condition
if it looks exactly alike and bolts on exactly the sameway, it will work.
this is old but its right behind the intake manifold.
