There are a wheel bearings in the hub in the front of a 2000 neon. It is generally not a problem and is maintenance free. In other words, you do not grease them; the seal is maintenance-free.

they are called a hub brg. assembly. yes they are sealed. if your replacing, you replace the assembly(inner and outer brgs together) if u r driving down the road and hear a roaring noise from the frt. steer fairly hard to right then left to determan which one is the problem. if noise gets louder when u turn right this means the left brg. is bad. what?????. yes, when u turn right the weight of the vehicle is shifted to the left putting more weight(stress) on that brg. good luck master tech 26yrs

Beat the old ones out with a hammer, push the new ones in the same way as far as you can, then zip them in all the way with the lug and an impact.

Pull the wheels, pull the brake calipers, remove brake disc. Next you will have to disconnect the lower ball joint and outer tie rod end. Remove keeper key and cover to access the large nut in the center of the hub. Remove the hub nut. Remove the two large nuts and bolts from the bottom of the strut where they attach to wheel "knuckle." Slide wheel knuck out toward you and the axle should slide out of the back of the hub. Now that the knuckle assembly is completely removed from the car, take it to a machine shop and have the old bearings pressed out and the new ones pressed in. Reinstall in vehicle and you are done.

My car currently has bad rear wheel bearings, the car shakes at 50-55mph and if you tilt your side mirror down to look at the wheel while you are driving, you'll see it wobble.. you can also pull on it while its parked and it will squeek and rock back and forth. Its highly dangerous so dont hesitate to get it replaced right away

No it will not the 2000 neon was a totally new design for the body and it won't line up correctly you need a bodykit for a 2000-2003 neon to fit best.
