Banana For identical storage situations, the strawberries would normally develop mold first. If left out on the counter, I would expect to see mold on the strawberries in a day or two. The banana would still be ripening. Unless you are talking about sliced bananas . . . That could be a different story.
It depends on the environment that the fruit are stored. If stored in wet environment both will mold at the same time. but if stored in a dry environment strawberry will mold faster.

Coke would make mold grow faster... Sugar is food for the mold/fungus. Therefore, Coke with its high sugar content would make it grow faster.
Mold usually grows on things in the dark because the light prevents the mold from growing. Mold will grow very slow when put in the sun but in the dark, it will grow faster! :)

Pennicillium grows faster than other molds. This fast growth is due to the pennicillium strain of mold is grown in a more concentrated area.
Grows very well in a bag-no better in the toilet. Try it sometime. It's educational.

(This is without any preservatives or a fridge). I did a science experiment on it.
