For the most part, computers do not make mistakes. They generally output answers based on the input given. If the input is wrong, the output can be wrong. In tech terms, we call this "GIGO" -- Garbage in, garbage out.

FWIW, Intel once made a CPU chip that had a floating point math error. For most calculations, it would have meant no errors. However, for very complex programs, the computer would definitely make a mistake with that particular processor on board.

A computer can possibly make a mistake. Although this is unlikely. A computer can make a mistake due to faulty harware, software and virus threats. This is known as a malfunction. If your computers warranty is still active, you may be able to get a refund or get a new computer of the same type.

It rather depends. If the computer is perfectly made - in that its CPU, RAM, hard-drive and software have been manufactured 100% error-free - then the computer is less likely to make mistakes. However - since all computers are essentially man-made - there will always be a 'margin of error' !

Essentially computers cannot make mistakes, they are totally dependent on the operator or programmer or manufacturer, which on all cases are humans.

Therefore computers do not make mistakes, humans do.

It only makes errors if there is a malfunction, the electronics has design flaws, or it is running code with errors in it. A computer, when working properly, does precisely what it was designed and programmed to do.
