Tumors are actually quite common in guinea pigs, usually older ones, I believe. I doubt the tumors are always cancerous though.

Hi. A guinea pig having cancer is a rare thing! But yes they can catch it. My guinea pig has it and was meant to die of it in January 2012. But right now it is 2013 which means she has been keeping strong. I think it really depends on how bad the cancer is and how strong the guinea pig is. I think they last around two months tops but if your lucky like I was then over a year hopefully.but I think only a well trained vet can tell. Good luck anyway

your guinea pig is very elderly now. its propally a tumer or cancer. ask your vet whats wrong, they will probally put your poor piggy down, but it is the best thing to do.
