An aluminum bat hits further because it is hollow. That's why you see the pros using wooden bats because with their skill level in hitting, every clean hit would be hit out.

Can you hit farther with a wood bat than you can with a BBCOR bat?

No. A BBCOR bat is made out of a "dead" metal substance. The composition of these bats makes them work more like wood bats, but not exactly like them. Any given metal bat will hit farther than wood bats. This is why you see people trying to break distance hitting records with metal bats as opposed to the wood.

Which baseball bat will make the ball go the farthest a wooden bat or an Aluminum bat?

AnswerAluminum definitely. Compared to wood, metal is able to more easily compress then regain it's shape. This trampoline effect is what causes the ball to come off the bat more quickly.

Why do composite bats hit farther than aluminum?

The composite bats have a trampoline like affect that give the ball more distance. Aluminum is more stiff and has less of a trampoline affect than a composite bat would.

Did an aluminum bat or wooden bat hit the farthest?

Wooden BatSupposedly, the wooden bat due to the weight of the ash wood used to make bat as opposed to the aluminum. However, it's not really the bat, it's the speed of the thrown ball and the speed with which the bat makes contact. Ask a baseball coach or a physics professor for more info.Usually a wooden bat, but aluminum bats hit faster, which is why I was almost decapitated before my time a few weeks ago.they think the aluminum would hit farther because a wooden bat would not hold up as goodthat's right an aluminum bat hits so far that the major leagues don't even use them trust meAluminum bat hits faster but i also think a aluminum bat would hit farther too because the aluminum bat is lighter and the faster you swing the farther it goes.

Does a wooden bat hit the ball further than a aluminum bat?

No. An aluminum bat hits the ball much farther than wood. The main reason why MLB players use wood is for the protection of the infielders ie. the infielders will have more reaction time with batters using wood bats do to the lower velocity.Hope I helped.

How do aluminum bats differ from wood bats in how they interact with a baseball?

The sweet spot on an aluminum bat is way larger. A wood bat has a small area for its sweet spot, wood forces you to swing correctly. With aluminim you can take a bad swing and still hit the ball well. So wood bats are actually better to train and play with (from a devolopmental standpoint).

Why does an aluminum bat hit a baseball farther than a wooden bat?

Aluminum bats are lighter than wooden bats, and therefore allow for a faster swing which is known as bat speed. A faster bat speed will drive a ball further allowing one to hit more home runs or even allowing for a higher batting average because the ball is hit harder and faster.
