Does an ice cube have air bubbles when it freezes?
The "air bubbles" are gases that are dissolved in the water. When the ice freezes the gas make the unfrozen water more concentrated with the dissolved gases until it becomes saturated and then comes out of solution and gets trapped in the surrounding ice. If you look at an ice cube you will notice that bubble are located in the centre which is the last place in the cube that freezes. If you make ice cubes from freshley boiled water you will...

Which ice cube will sink the one in water or hydrogen peroxide?
an ice cube cannot sink in water because its density is less than that of water. this is because of the air bubbles trapped inside; that make the ice cube less dense than water. ...

Why is ice sometimes clear and ice sometimes white?
Because sometimes oxegen gets trapped inside of the ice causing it to be impure causing it to be white. When this happens the air bubbles inside the ice are causing the ice to apear white when in acctuallity you are seeing the ice mirror the light as white. when it is clear it is a solid ice cube with no air trapped inside. if you look at rivers that froze over and then ponds you will notice that the pond will...
Why does an ice cube melt faster in water than in air?
An ice cube melts faster in water than in air due to the transfer of heat. Water can transfer heat to melt the ice quicker than the air can. ...

What does color have to do with ice cubes?
You may be referring to the salt water/fresh water colored ice cube melting experiment. A description of it is below: www.sciencecases.org/melting_ice/melting_ice.pdf If that is the case, the color did not substantially affect the experiment or the ice cubes. It was only used to make it easier to see how fast the ice cube melted, and what happened with the meltwater (eg did it all float at the top of the glass, or did it disperse throughout the rest of the glass). If your...

Why does the ice cube in water melt faster then ice cube on paper towel?
If it is in water it will start to become the same temprature as the water. But if it is on paper towel the air aroud itwill melt the ice cube. ...
If the ice cube is in water will it melt faster than an ice cube by itself in a cup?
Yes; because the rushing water will use (erosion) to wear it away faster than the temperature surrounding the ice cube in the air will ...

If you are holding an ice cube is heat moving your hand to the ice cube or from the ice cube to her hand?
When you are holding an ice cube, heat moves from your hand to the ice cube. Your hand is warmer than the ice cube obviously and therefore the heat from your hand is transferred to the ice cube (which eventually causes it to melt). ...
