No there is no caffeine in Adderall. Adderall is composed of mixed amphetamine salts. However like caffeine, amphetamine is a stimulant and all stimulants increase the amount of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain, so in that sense they are similar. Adderall however is a much more powerful stimulant and also increases the amount of the neurotransmitter norephinehrine as well as dopamine.
Adderal is much more powerful since it is an amphetamine called dextroamphetamine, but it has the psychological attitude of "on top of the world to extremely depressed" which has to do with the dopamine not being released naturally anymore. But it can go back to normal if enough time passes.

∙ 14y agoCaffeine may cause hyperactivity with adderall but it will increase attention. It may also cause panic attacks and increases ones chance of stroke. The medication guide for adderall says to avoid caffeine.

∙ 12y agoIts highly advisable you talk to your doctor about this, but how much caffeine are you talking about? Adderall is a stimulant drug and so is caffeine. The two together create a synergistic effect, which basically means the reaction of the 2 drugs is going to increase the effectiveness. I've personally found drinking a cup of coffee or 2 has made adderall seem to work twice as well and doesnt give me any of the negative side effects, but everyone's different. Most energy drinks and sodas have some form of acid which may decrease the effectiveness of the adderall so i suggest staying away from those. Ive never tried adderall and caffeine pills. It doesnt seem like a good idea to combine these 2 because once you pop the caffeine pill and the adderall youre along for the ride.. its easier to control how much of a liquid you drink and determine once youve had enough caffeine
