Not really. Actually, calcium is a mineral and it does not expire as stated on the labels of calcium supplements. They can safely be taken even after 2-3 years of their expiration, only the potency will be somewhat reduced. They can be taken with a lot of water and some vitamin D.
Yes the reason being, the vitamins all have something called b54 amobea. These are what causes the vitamins to enter the blood stream. Since the vitamins itself can no expire. The worst that could happen is if the amobea expires. If that happens nothing will happen so it does not hurt to just take the vitamins

If I were the pharmacist, my defence would be that I could not know that only one person was going to consume the tablets. If shared with even just one other person, they would all go before the expiry date.
