A Cupid is an imaginary "angel". The Bible does give descriptions of Angels and surprisingly to many is the fact that the common Angel in the Bible is never mentioned to have wings. But they are described as appearing as a man with the voice of a man. There are several different types of angels in the Bible: There is Michael the Archangel, Gabriel the Great Messenger, Cherubimand Seriphim, as well as numerous other Angels, that do God's bidding and minister to God's people on Earth. But there are no Cupids or Female angels. In the Book of Matthew Jesus reveals that the angels are Neutral in gender - they have no gender but do appear in form as men. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cannot find a verse in the Bible that discusses the gender of Angels. Mattew 23:30 states: "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." It speaks not of gender but matrimony.

When St. Jude, on the other hand, mentioned about "angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation.." he was referring to the "sons of God" of the book of Genesis. A part of Genesis 6:4 reads: "… the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them."

Clearly the sons of God or the Angels had relations with human beings, women in particular, and had children with them. It can be inferred from this idea, that indeed, these Angels did have a gender and it is most possible that it was like on to the human male. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This all should be in the discussion area of this question but, oh well. Matthew 23:30 is the very verse I was talking about and it does imply that they are gender neutral from that very fact - that they do not marry, besides that, look at the context of the verse. Jesus is answering a question concerning marriage and all that. Add to this the fact that any refference to an angel that speaks of gender only speaks of them being - he, him, etc. Now as for the Genesis 6:4 you just have a little missunderstanding; using FIRST the context of the chapter and what it says there, as well as other verses that also use the term "Sons of God" it is rather easy to see that there is no real reason to believe that this is talking of Angels. Besides the fact that God never mentions such a thing later on in th Bible. The Bible does make it clear though, that the "first estate" that they left was heaven, and their service to God in heaven when they rebelled and followed Satan. The Sons of God in these verses is speaking of Seth's descendants - good men that made poor choices in marriage. Noah turns out to be the only one along with his family who still follows God's teachings. All the rest had gone astray.
