Yes, if you get elastics that means that you either have an overbite or an underbite. They do hurt extremely bad and look horrible. When you first get them they will feel sore but you will barely notice them. However when you go to sleep they will sting. If you start to feel pain you should take an advil or Tylenol or other leading medicine. If you don't you will constantly be waking up late at night and will not be able to go back to sleep. The second day will be worse you will NOT be able to eat any food that you need to chew even if you take them off.(Taking them off will make a difference but it will still hurt super bad to eat) Advil does help but not when you eat. Try to eat yogurt, ice cream, and other soft foods. Suck on some ice or something cold and try to keep your mind off them, by watching t.v a movie or some other activities to keep your mind off. On the third day they will hurt only a little bit and on the fourth the pain will be virtually gone. Enjoy your new smile!
It depends on what your orthodontist says.
If your teeth are aligned a certain way you may need to have elastic bands to help support the straightning procedure. If your orthodontist says you don't need it then its probably because your teeth don't need the elastics, just the braces. Hope I helped! :)
On the first few days yes, but if you keep them in it goes away. But if you take them off your teeth shift back and you have to feel the pain again!
Train tracks hurt for the first week mainly, and then it's fine until you get elastics!
to make them go back.
You can get invisible braces or white elastics might work. But other than invisible braces you CAN'T hide braces.
The orthodontist assigns specific types of elastics to each patient depending on the braces and the patients needs. It's not recommended to use elastics that aren't specifically assigned for you. You should visit the orthodontist for more elastics instead of using your brothers.
You can get the colored elastics changed each time the orthodontist adjusts them.
No getting braces tighten does not hurt it only is uncomfortable but after a hour with your braces they start to hurt.
no. but when you get the elastics in your mouth its a bit harder to open your mouth but you will be able to.
Well when you are assigned to wear the elastics there are several reasons. The main reason is that, your orthodontics wants the elastics to force the teeth closer together, you may have gaps that need to be fixed. The elastics make this process fast if you remember to wear them. Also remember that their are different types of elastics, everyone is different and may need different kinds for different problems. Don't forget to wear them!
Yes like crazy and it will last for a week! But after that in the second week the pain gets less and less until you can't feel it. And the rest of the time will be painless except for wire change or elastics.
i don't think getting invisible braces are different from getting normal braces and braces does not hurt when you are getting them but when you got them on for a few hours or so it will kinda hurt
Emilys bracesemilys braces do not have coloured elastics on them, they are silver and are the newest brand available on the market.
Having braces placed on your teeth does not hurt. As they braces are adjusted periodically, your mouth can be uncomfortable, but tolerable.
