Not specifically, but are you referring to the part in Revelation where He says to the church at Laodicea that because they are lukewarm about their faith, he will reject them?

Answer:

The word "Christian" is used a total of three times in the KJV... twice in the singular; once in the plural: [Acts 26:28; I Peter 4:16 & Acts 11:26].

It's a term given by men [first, at Antioch - Acts 11:26] to those who profess the name of Christ. A term that's not necessarily derived from man's positive outlook toward Him. It could just as easily be a term of "derision."

Yet... calling someone a "Christian" doesn't make them one.

Jesus doesn't look on the surface to make His Judgments... or at the names by which men might label other men:

"...the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding... He shall not Judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears: but WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL HE JUDGE the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth..." (Isa.11:2-4).

Jesus doesn't "turn His back" on those who are truly His. But He will Judge those who "use His name" unrighteously -- calling themselves "Christians"... when they ARE NOT!

"Many will say to Me in that Day [Judgment Day], Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied IN THY NAME [as Christians]? And IN THY NAME [as Christians] have cast out devils? And IN THY NAME [as Christians] done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt.7:22-23)

Jesus will Judge those who "use His name" to work their evil, WHO WERE NEVER HIS. But He will never forsake any Truly coverted "Christian" whom He knows and has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

"...I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Heb.13:5)

The world calling people "Christians" doesn't make those people "followers of Christ." It's what's inside each of us... that which men can't see, but God can... that God looks at and determines who is His... and who isn't.

Why don't Christian conservatives believe Jesus was a liberal?

Everyone sees Jesus in their own image. Conservative Christians see him as conservative, just like themselves, and can even find verses in the Bible to prove it. Liberal Christians see Jesus as liberal, and they too can find verses in the Bible to prove it.

Why do Christians say the Bible is to be trusted?

Primarily because they believe it to be the word of God; a God who can be trusted.AnswerSome Christians trust the Bible to be literally true in all respects, even infalible. Other Christians trust the Bible to be allegorically true, or spiritually true even if not always historically true. Stephen M. Miller and Robert V. Huber (The Bible: A History) say that often the incidents in Jesus' lifewere made to fit formulas even if the facts had to be carefully chosen, rearranged or even elaborated to make them fit the mould. They say the storytellers' intentions were not to give a detailed description of Jesus' actions, but rather to point out the power Jesus had over life and death.

Does God like transsexuals?

No person knows what God likes or doesn't like. That said, there are transsexual persons who are also strong Christians, and Jesus says in the Bible that He will not turn away any who come to Him. The Bible even has good things to say about eunuchs.

Could you go to hell if you dont go to church that much but you do read your bible?

You might be given hell by overly religious Christians, but no, you won't go to Hell if you don't go to Church. Even not reading the Bible won't make you go to Hell. Jesus Christ saved you. Not going to church, and not reading the Bible. Follow Jesus Christ, not a Christian religion.

Did Jesus write the Bible?

No. He wasn't even alive when half of it was written. And there is not theslightestbit of evidence, not even a suggestion in the bible it's self that he did.

What is a Christian's attitude toward Jesus?

A christians attitude toward Jesus is we love him. He payed for the sins of over billions of people. Some who will never even appreciate him. That's why we love him, go to church, and read the bible. It is the least we can do for the man who saved us from an eternity of hell.

Why is Christmas celebrated by Christians and non- Christians?

Christmas is celebrated by Christians and non-Christians because the majority of people believe in god and Jesus and they obviously will believe that, that was the day that Jesus Christ was born even though it was not the accurate day it was a guess and that's why its celebrated on December 25th.

Christians what does it mean?

They believe that Christ Jesus is the savior. To Christians He is also the creator and the almighty and eternal God of the Bible. If He were not then He is a liar and cannot save anyone, not even Himself. It also means that Christians recognize Him as Lord of their life. They also recognize that God gave a free will and so there are many as the Bible says who will not believe although God has given them sufficient evidence to do so. About two thirds of the world do not believe in Jesus as the savior. I do not agree that God has given everyone sufficient evidence that Jesus is the only savior. Christians are those that follow the teachings of Christ. It does not matter if Jesus is considered as a god or not. It does not matter if the believer follows Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, Amish, Orthodox, Catholic or any of the approximately 38,000 other denominations. If you believe in Jesus' teachings, then you're a Christian, period. It's believeing in Jesus that is important not the dictates of the denomination.
