Is cannabis mentioned in the Christian Bible?

I have not read the bible But if you believe in god there is two ways to look at it.

Why would god place it on the planet if we weren't aloud to use it, also God tells Adam and eve you may use anything as long as you don't take a certain tree (There are many different versions of the bible this is what i was taught.)

A friend of mine has a theory about something called the tree of life. (this person does cannabis but he is very knowledgeable)
The bible talks about the tree of life and now centuries later people are wondering about this tree and what it represents. He looks at it as the marijuana plant because it has many features to be a tree of life: it can help With allot of medical issues, a cooking herb, cloths, paper, and etc. and anyways the bible is centuries old how can anybody rely on something that has probably been rewritten dozens of times.

Marijuana would most likely never be mentioned directly in The Bible, since it was probably classified and named long after most of the books of the Bible were written. If it is mentioned at all, it would be a vague reference that speaks about a smoking leaf, or something along those lines, possibly including some of the effects it had on a user.

No, marijuana is not mentioned in the bible, nor are other drugs. This does not mean that it is ok to smoke marijuana or take other drugs as they inhibit the mind and eventually take over the body. For the Christian their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and it is not to be defiled.

Genesis 1:29 "I have given you every seed bearing herb,..." ,...and alot of the ancient papyrus is made from hemp so I'm sure someone was puffin a bowl too!

Of course not. Marijuana is not even mentioned in the Bible since it is a New World crop and did not exist in that area of the world during biblical times.
