Absolutely not ! Twins are usually born within a short time of each other - rarely more than an hour apart.
==========
Unless perhaps you are asking about sperm whale twins - those CAN take 18 months.
I imagine that there are a few pregnant women who FEEL like whales by the time their twins are delivered.
On a lighter note
Yeah, and 27 months for triplets, 36 months for quadruplets and so on!
On a serious note
Any number of offsprings from a single pregnancy will in fact be born before the average length of normal pregnancy (that is 38 weeks of gestation). To give you an idea 36 weeks is average for twin births, 32 weeks for triplets and 30 weeks for quadruplets.
No-- but it sure feels longer than 9 months of pregnancy for the mother!
giving birth to two babies... that are not twins... or late.... or premature.
They get born in 12 months actually. The answer comes if you do basic math. So a single twin gets born at 9 months. If you were having two people it will be 18 months altogether. But because the other twin is the same it is a faster process, aprocksimatley twice as fast, so there 12 moths
As of this year, the twins are already 29 since they were born on February 18, 1981.
The Duggar children closest in age are the twins, as they were only born minutes apart. Other than the twins, the closest births are Jordyn and Josie, at 8 days less than a year. Jordyn was born on December 18, 2008, and Josie was born on December 10, 2008. However, Josie was born four months premature, so if she was born on or around her due date, they would not be the closest in age.
18-36 months :)

sooo if you are pregnant with twins does that mean instead of waiting 9 month wait 18 months just to deliver your babies
It can be anywhere from 2-18 months. If nothing has happened in 18 months see a doctor.
