∙ 16y agotheir's a rumor going around that Pein kills Jiraiya, but i don't think so after all he is one the three legendary Sanin, and Itachi even said "not even if he brought the entire Akatsuki they would be able to defeat him, and Jiraiya as never showed what he can really do. Jiraiya does get defeated by Pein. but that is only because pein as six bodies.and he can bring team back to life.Jiraiya killed three of them but Pein brought them back to life and took one of Jiraiya's arms.Jiraiya sent one of his toads to the leaf village to tell them who the Akutsuki leader is.and then Jiraiya went in to a lake by the area. and to Pein Jiraiya died.

∙ 14y agoUnfortunately, Jiraiya does die in Naruto shippuden. He dies in episode, 133, The tale of Jiraiya, the Gallant. He finally figured out the best method, Never give up. He trusts Naruto. He sacrificed himself. He gave the leaf village many clues about who the leader of the akaski, and it's true that Pain [ the leader of the akaski organization ] does live in the Hidden in the Rain.
