Does ketchup need to be refridated?
Liquids and other watery substances (such as ketchup, mustard, relish, etc) are typically measured in ounces (oz). It takes approximately 128 ounces to make a gallon, so depending on how large your bottle of ketchup is, you may need to buy more or less accordingly in order to have one gallon (or how many gallons you need) of ketchup.

When you very first buy ketchup in a bottle or other type of package, you can keep it at room temperature. Once you open it though, it does need to be refrigerated. I tried to keep Whataburger ketchup (unopened) in the pantry for a few days and it did not look good afterwards. I would most certainly recommend refrigeration.
