It is obvious that it's main purpose, besides providing electricity, is to stop some of the terrible rainfalls that happen each and every year on that area. And it doesn't matter if it is acid rain or not, that's the best part! It stops acid rain, normal rain, alkaline rain, rain with a pH of 2,4 (a more serious type of acid rain).
