A college degree will open many more doors than just a high school diploma - virtually any job with a real future, and a possibility for growth, advancement and higher salary, will require a college degree. A H/S diploma will almost always limit you to unskilled, low paying jobs - unless you want to flip burgers or dig ditches, college is the way to go . And it doesn't matter all THAT much what field you major in - in many cases, a liberal arts degree with some experience in other fields is just as good. You MUST, however, learn to communicate - writing and speaking with skill, accuracy and intelligence is a fortune unmeasureable. Good luck.

∙ 11y agoOne does not need a college degree to get a journalism job. Their are many people who have journalism jobs without a college degree. Most journalism jobs require a degree but not all.
