i would opt for the Freezing point. salt decreases the freezing point of water. so if water would normally freeze at 0C, saltwater would freeze at -3C.

How does adding salt to water affect the temperature?

It does not affect the temperature of the water, but solutes raise the boiling point and lower the freezing point.

What do terms ''boiling point'' and '' freezing point '' mean?

Boiling point is the temperature at which a liquid changes into a gas. Freezing point is the temperature at which a liquid changes into a solid.

Does adding more solute to a solvent raise its freezing point lower its boiling point raise its boiling point or does not affect its boiling point?

raise its freezing point

What is the freezing point and boiling point of a metal?

Boiling point: the temperature when a material become a gas phase.

How many degrees between freezing point and boiling point on the celsius temperature scale?

freezing= 0 boiling= 100

What do terms boiling points and freezing point mean?

Melting (freezing) point: the temperature when the solid metal become a liquid. Boiling point: the temperature when the liquid metal become a gas.

What is boiling and freezing point?

Freezing point is the temperature required to turn a liquid into a solid. Boiling point is the temperature required to turn a liquid into a gas. Almost everything has a freezing and boiling point. If you mean water well The freezing point is 0oC The boiling point is 100oC If you add a bit salt to the water to make saline then the freezing point is changed and lowered somewhere in the region of -10c (which is why we salt grit our roads in winter)

How does temperature affect water?

The temperature and salinity of seawater determine its density. Water gets denser as it gets saltier and reaches a maximum density at 4 °C. Salinity does affect the boiling point and freezing point of water, but not its temperature.

On the celsius temperature scale how many degrees are between freezing and the boiling point of water?

Freezing = 0 Boiling = 100

Will the freezing point always be a lower temperature than the boiling point?

Yes

Will the freezing point always be lower temperature than the boiling point?

What is the temperature scale based on the freezing and boiling point of water?

Celsius scale with freezing point of water = 0 oC boiling point of water = 100 oC
