I believe it does, because it makes you eat more and then you grow, and the guy who answered before me is an idiot. Big time! I smoke marijuana since I was 14 and now I am 25 and athletic and on university and marijuana helps me study... sometimes... And I am just back on it from 6 months withdrawal and that withdrawal was because I went to a country where marijuana was super illegal! and what happened to me after stopped smoking weed?.... Nothing! By that I mean... Things just went back to normal, food tastes the same... Music sound the same... Ideas stays the same... And video games are less interesting... I would put marijuana in my kids' every morning cereal, if I get married one day....

maby but there's allot of factors to consider. Firstly what are you growing? specialist seeds from the internet are often guaranteed female and will usually work well. They will specify where to grow them for best results, such as outdoor {very dependent on location/weather/time of year} or indoor. Can be grown on a windowsill ect but unlikely to give a good yield. or better and available regardless of season, under a UV heat-lamp. Bought seeds from a reputable company should always grow if you follow instructions, that collection of seeds you have occasionally found in your buds and decided to plant can be a bit more hit and miss but go for quantity and some are bound to work.

I would always recommend a heat lamp with found seeds as u don't know the variety very well, also just cos u found the seed in so/so weed that was damp and flavorless don't assume its rubbish. commercial growers usually don't grow their weed for long enough/dry it properly or cure it {unless your in Amsterdam that is} a bit of care and attention and that seed u got from some awful bush can turn into a top quality skunk plant.

If you want to guarantee success get your self a PH kit and ensure the soil stays around {7} neutral as this is usually preferred by the plant. also make sure the plant has plenty of room for growth, the correct amount of light and heat, and air circulation. These should all be monitored daily and adjusted accordingly if needs be to ensure the best possible growth.

Most plants take roughly 3 months to fully mature from seed but bare in mind it can be very time consuming, depressing when things go wrong or highly rewarding when things go right. Also bare in mind that the price of electric to run a 400W+ bulb 12 hours a day means a small scale grow is unlikely to be particularly profitable especially if you have limited experience.

However i will say one thing, no weed will ever taste sweeter than weed grown by your own hand :)
