its to the rear of engine under the intake manifold
underneath the intake manifold on the drivers side
Try cleaning the Intake Manifold where the EGR valve is attached.
It is located on the intake manifold next to the fuel rail.
on top of the spark plugs in the intake manifold.
It is bolted to the back of the aluminum intake that is connected to the block. Its location is behind the plenum.
what eng. do you have? if it is a 5.4 or a 4.6 it is under the intake manifold on the passenger side.
i had the problem with my 97 f150, the power wire to the computer had melted on the manifold and had to be replaced, check the wire to see if its grounding out
it's on the intake manifold.
The sensor is in the intake manifold (MFI engines) or air cleaner/tube (SFI engines).
intake manifold leak due to rotten isolator bolts in the manifold plenum.
The temperature sending unit on a 97 F150 4.2 is Êlocated in front of the intake manifold. It is on the right hand side.
top rear of vavle cover under upper intake manifold
It is bolted to the left side of the intake manifold, just behind the throttle body.
you do not need to remove intake manifold to change valve cover gaskets. intake bolts to the block. valve covers bolt to the heads EDIT: Theirs some clearance issues but you can maneuver the valve cover out.
The 400 in the 1979 F150 has a 2 barrel carburetor , so unless your willing to change the intake manifold to a 4 barrel manifold and get a 4 barrel carburetor , I would stick with original equipment
The intake runner control is in he intake manifold. It consists of a shaft and 3 butterfly valves for each cylinder bank. The opening of these valves are controlled by an electronic module located on the back of the engine behind the intake manifold ducting on top of the engine. Each set of butterfly valves are connected to the module by a link. When the computer notifies the module to open the butterfly valves, it rotates a small motor in the module, moves the links and opens the butterfly valves. The module is very difficult to get to and you must remove the top ducting to see the links and the butterfly valves
Intake manifold gasket may be leaking - check for loose bolts or replace fasket.
Under hood, center, upper engine area, mounted in rear of intake manifold
its on the intake manifold one right side of air cleaner it is a heated pcv valve it has wires goin to it
Follow the main vacuum coming from the intake manifold and it will right next to the vacuum check valve......
1st need to know what engine you have,i have 1995 f150 4.9 6 cylinder engine, and will be replacing my iat soon as i get it.mine is on the lower intake manifold towards the front of the vehicle.so i assume yours should be on the manifold somewhere.look along and behind the fuel rails.
The delta pressure feed back egr sensor is located on the intake manifold. It is a metallic rectangular thingy with vacuum lines and a connector on it.
Temperature Gauge Sending Unit The sending unit is located in the front section of the intake manifold in the vicinity of the thermostat.
If the arm is loose then a few turns of a phillips head wrench will fix it. If the arm needs replaced then by taking the screw out the arm assembly can be removed and replaced.
