The MacBook Air does not have a CD/DVD drive built in. It is designed to be used on a wireless network and, if required, would connect to a CD/DVD drive on another computer via the network. An external USB CD/DVD drive can be added.

Apple sells an external Super Drive (CD/DVD drive) that plugs into your MacBook Air's USB port.

No, the MacBook Air was too thin for Apple to include a DVD drive. Additional super drives can be purchased for the MacBook Air though.

Yes, they all have a CD/DVD drive EXCEPT the MacBook-AIR- does not.

The Macbook Pro , because it has a DVD-drive , a faster processor , bigger hard drive, larger memory. The MacBook Air doesn't have a DVD drive , has a slower processor, and has a small hard drive capacity , not much memory, much slower. Source: I'm on a MacBook Pro Right Now

I think there is a built-in DVD-ROM.

As there is no built in DVD drive in the MacBook Air your options are: - purchase a separate DVD drive to plug-in to the computer - wirelessly connect to another computer (Mac OS or WIndows) which is able to share their DVD drive. - join the 21st century and watch a movie from online sources such as iTunes.

The MacBook Air can be purchased with either a Serial ATA hard disc or a Solid State drive.

The macbook air. it is the same size as the normal macbook but thinner. The limitation is that you don't have a cd/dvd-driver in it.

The MacBook AIR was created for the "on-the-go" person. More for convenience then processing power. The basic model does not come with a CD/DVD slot and uses solid-state design for its hard drive (smaller capacity). For the value, the MacBook Pro is a good purchase.

The MacBook Air is thinner than the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Air doesn't have a SuperDrive. The macbook Pro has a multi touch trackpad and a more powerful processor. The MacBook Pro can use up to 8GB of ram and a 500 GB hard drive. The macbook air can have only 2GB of RAM and a 128 GB solid state drive

Your CD/DVD player is a Read Only Memory drive.

If it's on a CD/DVD then you will have to buy or find a USB DVD external drive to hook to the Air. If it's a first generation Air the you should make sure the drive is compatible as some of the drives weren't working at the time they came out. Apple actually sells a fairly cheap external USB DVD drive that is geared towards the newer computers that no longer come with an internal CD/DVD drive.

If you are looking at the MacBook Air, you need to ask yourself what you will be doing on the computer. The big setback to the MacBook Air is that is does not have a CD\DVD drive. The computer is very barebones when it comes to interfacing. All programs you would like to install will need to be on a USB flash drive or from the internet. It is possible to buy an external DVD drive that connects via USB, it is just another peripheral to lug around. If you want to watch movies on your laptop, a MacBook might be a better option. It is a little bit cheaper as well.

The Pro is about half a pound heavier than the air. 13" air is 2.96 pounds. 13" pro is 3.57 pounds. The Air also does not have a CD/DVD drive.

If your Macbook Pro has a DVD/CD drive just insert the game CD in the drive and follow the directions. If you do not have a DVD/CD drive you will need to copy the game to a flash drive or use an external DVD/CD drive to install it. Of course the game will have to be Mac compatible or it will not run on a Mac.

Well that depends on what your description of a good laptop is. The Macbook air lacks a compact disc drive and there is a considerably lesser amount of connective ports. The standard Macbook has more ports, more speed, and a DVD burner; the normal Macbook is also cheaper. The Macbook Air is thinner and lighter than most laptops, but that is where the advantages end.

The macbook air super-drive is basically a disk drive(like the ones you find in other mac laptops). You can use it to play dvds, cds and games.

The only disadvantage to a Macbook Air is the fact that is does not have a CD/DVD drive, nor does it have the Retina display. It also has less memory and it also costs just as much as a Macbook Pro if you get the 13.3" model. But it is lighter and thinner. If you use it allot when traveling and a size and weight are important then it is a good choice. I personally would buy the Macbook Pro 13".

The MacBook Air does not have an internal optical drive, but you can buy an external one for $99 at any Best Buy.

Not directly. Pre-2012 MacBook Pros had a DVD/CD drive built in. 2012 and later MacBook Pros that have Retina don't have an optical drive built in. So, to play any Blu-Ray movie, you would need to purchase and connect an external Blu-Ray drive.

Yes if you have a built in or external DVD drive.
