The souce of the Nile River is located in Nyungwe National Park of Rwanda. From its source to the mouth, the total length of the Nile River is 7,088 km or 4,405 miles. The Nile is longer than the Amazon River (6,575 km or 4,086 miles).

The Nile River flows south to north: it starts in Lake Victoria which is below the equator and ends in the Mediterranean Sea which is in between Africa and Europe.
