Some Christians are expecting the second coming of JESUS (and most Christians consider Jesus to be God). Other religions (i.e., outside of Christianity) also have similar expectations, of some figure ("Messiahs" or something similar) to appear at the "end of times".
In St. John 17 :1 clarifies who is who when it comes to Our Father and His son Jesus.
In St. John 21 :23 , commands us to tarry till He comes.
In Revelations 21 : 22 speaks about God Almighty and his son the Lamb. KVJ.
Yes children of Johovah (YWHY) is the only nation that shall exist when all in all is accomplished, and Jesus Himself shall come for His own. .... as for as any religions are, I don't know them.
Not only Christianity. The Hindu's are expecting their god to reincarnate on earth Ninth Time!! He well be the ninth Avatar of Lord Vishnu after the last Avatar Lord Buddha. His Name will be Kalki and he is supposed to give humanity deliverance.
Jews also await the coming of the Messiah, who is not Jesus, but will be another human sent to Earth by God when the world is at peace and God's commandments are followed by all.

∙ 13y agoYes they do, The messiah (Jesus) has come to the earth once to die for all our sins. He will once again return and will come to collect his children. Just make sure you are one of them by reading bible, Praying to God and try to obey the ten commandments. And Obey his 2 most important commandments, "Love thy neighbor as thyself" and "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind".

The return of Christ will be the biggest surprise to Christians because The Messiah, Jesus, returns to put Jews, Christians and Muslims all back on the same page that was never any different until Paul of Tarsus screwed it all up.
The true religion that Jesus taught is: there is no god but the One God (not Jesus) and God's Law - the Shariah of the Qur'an - will be established on Earth by Jesus.
So eventhough we think he is going to throw the Trinity back at all the Christians, we yet still do believe in the Second Coming. AND we believe in Jesus as God's Messiah.

If the world was perfect, Judaism would have ended at the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and Christianity would have picked up where Judaism left off. However, since we do not live in a perfect world, the leaders of Judaism rejected Jesus (as predicted by the prophets in the Old Testament) and the religion of Judaism still exists today. Basically, Jews are still waiting for their promised Messiah, while Christians point back to Jesus Christ and say He is the promised Messiah.

First, there is no way to predict when the world will end; even the New Testament says that no-one knows exactly when it will happen. Christians believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, ascending to Heaven; but while his resurrection is a central Christian belief, it was not meant to signal the end of the world. Rather, it was supposed to give humanity hope. Many Christians eagerly await the return of Jesus (the Second Coming), which will inaugurate the final days and the final judgment. But again, we are not sure when this will happen. Despite various preachers who insist there are signs that predict the date, only God knows when the end-times will occur.

Jesus went into hiding and still lives to this day. He will eventually join with the Mahdi (or go at it alone depending on the Islamic school) and confront the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) in the End of Days. But since Jesus never dies between his original ministry and the End of Days, it is not a proper second coming.
