Yes it has two reverse lights
1 bulb blown 2 fuse blown 3 open circuit in reverse light wiring 4 bad earth contact on reverse light 5 reverse light switch faulty 6 indent in gear box fault causing switch not to operate.

i have seen pug on a saxo so i think if u mod the lights on the mk2 saxo bonnet it will fit :)
On top of the gearbox there is a nut with 2 wires coming of it. that's the reverse light switch Its hard to get at but its possible. had to do it with my pajero aswell
if u have a welder and a grinder u can make any back box fit

2 STEP PROCESS: 1. TAKE FOG LIGHT BULB OUT. 2. REPEAT STEP ONE(1) IN REVERSE
You need a star point screwdriver. Remove the 2 screws pull out light assembly. Remove the light socket from housing and replace bulb. replace in reverse order. 5 minutes.

you just add the number its starts with by 1000 and then u multiply it by 2 and then subtract it by 5000. then you'll have your answer.
The way I did it was by removing the 2 screws on either side of the light. Pushing up the light and turning it so as I could pull it out. Once it was out I replaced the bulb and put it back in the slot in reverse order.
usually a loss of reverse indicates a nut that has come off the end of a gear. This is common in your vehicle as well as harsh reverse engagements. It is a common fix , take it to your local transmission shop.
