Does the computer save information sent from a webpage?

Most web browsers will, in fact, save images and some text from web pages that they visit. This is to save on the time it would take to download the image again. This is called "caching." Web browsers will also save some data that you transmit, such as usernames and passwords, so that you do not have to constantly re-enter them. This are referred to as "cookies."
