Relation between atmospheric pressure and boiling point?

As atmospheric pressure increase so does the boiling pont, when atmos. pressure decreases so does boiling point. A liquid boils when its vapor pressure equals atmospheric pressure.

Give two differences between evaporation and boiling?

Evaporation takes place at all temperatures but boiling at one particular temperature When saturated vapour pressure becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure boiling takes place but evaporation is not so

When vapor pressure equals atmospheric pressure at the surface of a liquid it has reached its what?

boling takes place

Does a wind - move air from a warm place to a cool place?

Air flows from areas of higher pressure to areas of lower pressure.Related Information:Temperature is irrelevant except that temperature plays its part in creating areas of higher or lower localized atmospheric pressure.

What four factors affect how rapidly chemical reaction takes place?

Four factors are:- temperature- pressure- catalysts- stirring

What does it mean when the atmospheric pressure at place fall suddenly?

A drop in pressure usually indicates bad weather.

What does it mean when the atmospheric pressure at a place fall suddenly?

What is the climate weather atmospheric temperature on Earth?

Weather refers to atmospheric phenomena including temperature and precipitation and clouds and wind, that are happening at a particular place at a particular time; climate describes the usual kind of weather that is found in a particular place throughout the year, and atmospheric temperature is just the heat or coldness of the air.

What factors affect the specific changes which take place during metamorphism?

Two factors that contribute to the formation of metamorphic rocks are pressure and temperature.

What would occur when he atmosheric pressure is higher than intrapulmonary pressure?

When the atmospheric pressure is higher than intrapulmonary pressure pressure, inspiration will not take place.

Why does air pressure?

Assuming you're talking about atmospheric pressure, it is caused by the earth's gravity and varies from place to place due to the forces of different forms of weather. Air pressure is all around you. Atmospheric pressure is the weight of earth's atmosphere. So the pressure is going to be related to gravity or to centrifugal force in one way or another.

The volume of a gas is reduced when the temperature is decreased?

It depends on the amount of temperature reduced and also the atmospheric presure of the place of experiment.
