Does your 1986 Fiero 2M6 automatic Trans have a governor if so how do you remove it?
Yes. The THM125C has a governor. The governor is just below the speedometer sensor. 1986 Pontiac fiero service manual section 125C page 22.
Remove the two piece rad shroud,remove fan and fan clutch. Remove both rad hoses, if you have a automatic trans you will need to remove the trans cooler lines. The rad will be easy to remove at this point. The hardest part can be removing the trans cooler lines; a quality flare nut wrench must be used because otherwise you will strip the hex off the line.
First take battery terminals off battery. If it's an automatic you will need to drain transmission fluid by lossening trans. pan bolts.Take starter off then the lines going to trans.
