Maltese dogs belong to Dog Breeds for allergy sufferers because they don't shed much. They are not just companion dogs but also therapy dogs.

YES Maltese are AMAZING for people with Allergies. I have severe pet allergies and have a maltese--that causes no allergic reactions at all. Maltese are good for those with allergies for two reasons (1) they have hair rather than fur (2) they have no undercoat
that most dogs have (which causes them to shed and release dander). If you have allergies a Maltese would be a perfect choice (a poodle, bichon, labradoodle, portuguese water dog, and yorkie are some others)
Hope this helps!! :)
The Maltese breed is one of several breeds known to cause fewer allergy problems in some people. But even with dogs from the same breed, the problem can vary from dog to dog and person to person. Trials are good for a few days to see how it works, responsible breeders will always give you that option for a trial if you ask, they want their dogs to have happy homes. See the related questions below.
Allergies are common in dogs, like in humans; and can be a reaction to something they are eating, or to the environment around them. Some things your dog might be allergic to include: food in their diet, shampoos being used to bathe them, flea bites, pollen, mold, and grasses. Symptoms of these allergies are itchy skin, itchy paws/hind legs (excessive chewing or licking in these areas), and ear infections. Although, excessive chewing and licking of the paws/ skin can also be a sign of boredom. If your dog displays any of these symptoms, it would be in your best interest to take them for a visit to the vet so you can find a way to make them more comfortable.
NO. I have a Malinois and it sheds like crazy! You have to groom him at least twice every week, more often in Spring and Summer. They have short coat and sheds 365. I am not sure if allergy sufferer would be pleased with the shedding. But Malinois is super loyal dog, very smart and active--mine sleeps when we are not with her and plays so hard when she is out. But if you can find a Poodle X Malinois, you would be happy. I am actually looking for one myself but this hybrid is hard to find! Maybe you can also consider Malinois's sibling--Lakenois. They are the same breed but with curly coat--minimal shedding, only regular grooming and trimming are needed. If you find either a Lakenois or Malinois X Poodle, please let us know. But there is shepadoodle out there though I am not quite interested in this xbreed.
Yes
sorry, but that is kinda a stupid question. if the kid has allergies, yes. if you mean Maltese as in a dog, it shouldn't matter we have a Maltese and it hasn't harmed any kids.
Depending on the breeds of the mix, yes they can cause allergies. It also depends on what you are allergic to (either dander or saliva). In the case you are allergic to dander, you should try to get a hypoalergenic dog (mix or full). Before bringing a dog into a home of someone who has allergies, you should be sure that you don't have any reaction to the dog. Some hypoalergenic dogs/mixes are: poodle yorkshire terrier maltese soft coated wheaten terrier maltipoo (maltese/poodle) morkie (maltese/yorkshire terrier) havanese havapoo (havanese/poodle)
i think a Maltese star is a celeberty Maltese or a celeberty dog or it can be a star in the sky shaped like a Maltese dog or a dog.
we have a Maltese dog and he is about 10 inches tall
Maltese's are Adorable!
No dog is hypoallergenic because all dogs shed. There are dogs that are better for people with allergies tough such as the Shih Tzu, the Maltese, the poodle, and the Lhasa Apso.
the Lhasa apso
Yes Taylor Lautner does have a Maltese named Roxy.
I think it is a maltese.
It is actually Maltese. A Maltese is a small dog in the toy group.
If your Maltese (or any dog for that matter) has a cavity (or you think he/she has a cavity), take it to the vet! They will definitely have a solution! :)
