Sometimes, but some zookeepers are trained to look after certain types of animals or are specialists.
Animals in a zoo don't have any specific rights, but it is up to the zookeepers to make sure they take the best possible care of the animals. The zookeepers usually do such a good job taking care of their charges that zoo animals typically outlive their wild counterparts by many years.
I would hope that its parents would take care of it with the rest of the herd but if it was in a zoo and the mother died giving birth I think 1 of the zookeepers would do it
take care of them

Animal crackers and gingerbread men. Take your pick!
In my opinion, there shouldn't be zoos, because the animals have a right to live a free life, without being in a cage, and having people staring at them all day long, being fed what the zookeepers want to feed them, eating when the zookeepers have it scheduled. It's just not the life for an animal. But there are zoos, like the Maine Wildlife Park, where they take in animals because they were hurt in the wild, care for them, protect them from predators, and make sure they get all the things they need to eat to recover from their injuries.
Humans are neglective.
