now I'm not quite sure about bronco II's but in my 93 bronco the box was located under the driver side of the dash more towards the middle. The box is about 2 x 2 1/2 inches, and has a 7 prong connector I hope this helps
there is a fuse in the fuse panel that controls the door chime
door chime is part of the lock tumbler inside the cloumn
I actually think you can just unplug the appropriate fuse. Check your users manual and verify that the door chime relates to a fuse, and verify that nothing else relates to it.
The door chime on a 2000 Ford F250 can be disabled by removing the fuse or pulling the wiring harness. The chime is automatically trigger each time the door is opened or is left open

there are six bolts o the door you have to take off, before that you have to take the door skin off of the door ( all you have to do is pry it off for the most part, only one screw near the handle), unplug all of the wires then pull the door off
Door chime is in the Computer module on the driver side by the gas pedal in th e center console. Cut the black wire with the yellow stripe and the chime is gone. forget the crap about spraying door switches with wd40.
The chime module is located underneath the left side of the dash right abve the fuse box.
The door chime switch on a 96 ranger is part of the door latch mechanism. If your door chimes all the time when your driving try spray lube on the latch that should free it up.
