Front/Counter/Drive-Thru are responsible for taking/filling orders, customer interactions, and being the face of McDonald's. Back/Kitchen/Grill are responsible for cooking, loading, and preparing the orders as they come through. There are also the maintenance crew members who are responsible for keeping the behind the scenes and dining areas clean and sparkling not only for health regulations but to make it a more enjoyable experience for customers (nobody wants to eat at a dirt restaurant). All crew members are responsible for being sure that everything is clean and presentable at all times and that the customers enjoy their dining experience.
