Why is Car overheating and smells like sweet syrup?
The sweet smell is most probably from the glycol in the radiator. When there is a leak or the engine boils then the water/glycol mixture that finds it's way to hot engine parts will smell sweet. (Glycol is a sugar but it is poisonous DO NOT TASTE IT).
