Some explorers include Sir Martin Frosbisher (1576-1578), John Davis (1585-1587), Henry Hudson (1610-1611), William Baffin (1616), Luke Fox and Thomas James (1631-1632), Samuel Hearne (1771-1772), John Ross and David Buchan (1818), Sir William Edward Parry, F. W. Beechey, Sir George Back, Thomas Simpson, Sir John Franklin, and Robert J. Le M. McClure. Eventually Roald Amundsen was the first explorer to navigate the Northwest Passage during 1903-1906.
